As China News reported, the world-renowned “Billiard Emperor” Stephen Hendry attended a press conference which was held at China Beijing Equity Exchange on May 13th.
Hendry has followed the likes of Guangzhou Marathon, China Table Tennis Super League and China national synchronized swimming team in seeking commercial partnerships in China with the help from trading platform.
The partnerships are composed of product endorsement, brand endorsement, commercial campaigns and fans meetings.
According to report, the annual cost for signing Hendry as brand endorser is 1 million yuan while the fees for other rights would drop relevantly. The price for Hendry to attend a fans meeting is 50,000.
This is the first time that a personal rights project has ever been added on the trading list in China.
Zhu Funing, the business director, noted that Hendry would set an example for other well-known athletes in partnering with exchange platform for self-promotions.
In spite of his retirement, Hendry is still quite popular, especially among those who once witnessed his domination in snooker, in China. Consequently, his images can be easily spotted at a number of billiard rooms in China.
