The nine-day Asian Women's Boxing Championships will be held from August 15 to August 25 in Ulanqab of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, organizers said on Thursday.
It is estimated that there will be more than 500 boxers and coaches from over 30 countries and regions to participate in the Championships, according to the organizers.
The Championship is a biennial boxing event of highest level in Asia. It marks China will hold the boxing event for the first time.
The women's boxing was listed in the Olympic program in the 2012 London Games.
