The Industrial Bank Company Ltd has signed a 5-year deal withthe Shanghai International Marathon becoming both the honorary sponsor of the event from 2015-2019, and the official partner of the Shanghai Half Marathon. The Fuzhou based Industrial Bank correspondingly announced the launch of their new credit card brand "Huolirensheng(vital life)" at the event.

Since May 2015, the Industrial Bankhas been in partnership with the Shanghai Half Marathon, bringing their “low carbon emission” concept into the event. Nowbecause of the Industrial Bank’salliance with Shanghai East Best, the event management company of the Shanghai Marathon, the Industrial Bank has now signed the lengthiest sponsorship agreement within the finance industry.

“The original intention of the sponsorship is the responsibility that we share. The Industrial Bank kept the idea of sustainable developmentwth the Marathon being the symbol of perseverance, which meets our spirit,” Vice president of Industrial Bank, Chen Jinguang said, adding that “hopefully, we could make a contribution to China sports and welfare.”

The Shanghai Marathon will be held on November 8th. Previously, over 200,000 runners registered for 2014 Shanghai Marathon.
