Ti’ao Power secures media rights to CFA Cup

By He Lanying 19 Feb 2016

The Chinese Football Association officially announced today that Chinese media group Ti'ao Power, which is backed by China Media Capital (CMC) has been winning out in the bid for the broadcast and production rights to the CFA Cup and Super Cup from 2016 to 2019.

This marks that Ti’ao Power has successfully eaten up the last piece of cake in Chinese football field following its previous acquisition of rights to Team China, China’s national soccer teams, and Chinese Super League (CSL).

According to news from Ti’ao Power, the company has become the officially media partner of CFA Cup and Super Cup in previous circle from 2012 to 2015. During that period, Ti’ao Power realized approximately a total number of 35 Cup games being broadcasted per year and sublicensed the media rights to nearly 20 traditional media and online media like Sina Sports, Le Sports and PPTV Sports.

Under the new partnership, Ti’ao Power has committed that it will steadily increase the games to be broadcasted and the broadcast standard during the partnership period. The Chinese media group also said that it will reinforce its efforts on new media and make sure the CFA properties can receive a better media exposure and brand promotion.
