Today Tuesday was the first day of the two day LeSports Connects: the China Sports Forum at Mission Hills in Dongguan Guangdong and organisers hailed it as a great success. The day saw 450 delegates, media and leaders of many world sports organizations take part in discussions on 13 interesting topics such as the developments of overseas sports leagues in China, sports sponsorship strategies, sports media rights, how to manage football clubs, etc.
The CEO of LeSports, Mr Lei Zhenjian, made a keynote speech during one of the morning sessions. He said that LeSports aims to be the big data platform of the Chinese sports community for the global sports industry, to provide both international IP providers and domestic Chinese sports companies with accurate data about their consumers.
Top management teams from international sports properties such as WWE, MLB, NFLand One Championship introduced their strategies and growths for China. International brands such as VISA, UBS, AIA, and PUMA shared sports sponsorship insights and how to adapt to the Chinese market.
At the end, Peter Kenyon, the former CEO of Manchester United FC and Chelsea FC, talked about football club management in an interview with iSportconnect Chairman Michael Cunnah.
Tomorrow, on the second day, the Manchester United and England legend, Rio Ferdinand, the Co-President of LeSports, Liu Jianhong, and football clubs such as Guangzhou R&F FC will talk more about their brands and the Chinese sports industry.
