By Yutang Sports 11 Jan 2017

SAIC-GM Buick has announced that it has renewed its contract with Chinese golfers, Feng Shanshan and Lin Xiyu.

At the beginning of 2014, Buick signed a contract with Feng Shanshan, the first lady of Chinese golf, to become a brand ambassador for Buick Golf. Feng became the first Chinese mainland golfer ever to rank first in the world tour rankings and also the first Chinese golfer to win a golf major. In addition, she was the first mainland golfer to earn cards on all of the three major golf tours, the LPGA Tour, Japan LPGA Tour, and the Ladies European Tour. Having won events on all tours has helped her achieve a consistent Top 10 World ranking.

In early 2016, Lin Xiyu, China’s most potential female golfer, was signed as an ambassador to represent Buick Golf. Born in 1996, Lin Xiyu, also a 3-tour card golfer is considered the best golfer of the new generation (post 1995) with the most potential to become the next big star.

In China, Buick has been in co-operation with golf since 2003. After more than 10 years of successful growth and expansion, Buick has formed a close collaborative partnership with the golf industry particularly in amateur and professional events, special events and youth development and training.
