On March 1, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) signed a strategic cooperation deal with Rejoy International and Wolon Sports Equipment Co., Ltd. during the “One Belt, One Road” New Year celebration sports carnival.
Under their deal, the three parties are expected to establish the IBF World Research Laboratory on Boxing Gear, working together to promote the innovation and development of boxing equipment in China and all over the world.
As Lu Hailang, Vice President of Rejoy International, promoter and operator of IBF tournaments in Macau and Mainland China, said, the three partners will take this chance to create international advanced technology standards for professional boxing equipment, with the aim of promoting the standards throughout China and other countries of the world.
Wolon Sports President Dian Hong commented, “With the support of the IBF brand and professional standards, we will make full use of our expertise and advantages in the sports market. By partnering with the IBF and Rejoy International, we aim to launch professional and high-quality boxing equipment, helping Chinese standards expand into the rest of the world as well as make Chinese product makers become the leading suppliers of the international boxing market.”
IBF president Daryl Peoples said that he was pleased to see the rapid development of Chinese boxing companies against the background of the boxing industry in the country. He also believed that with the establishment of the Research Lab, China will unveil a bright future for boxing events and equipment.
