As one of the sponsors of the Color Run in China, ANTA launched the Color-Run-themed T-shirts and shoes for participants at the Hangzhou edition of the 2018 Color Run.
Zhu Minjie, Senior Director for ANTA Brand Center, emphasized that ANTA’s main purpose is to sponsor the Color Run but also according to Zhu, ANTA hope to encourage runners to enjoy their running rather than focusing on results, times or medals.
On the other hand, showing ANTA’s expertise and technology in the design and manufacture of running apparel in this popular running event is to engage the runners and leave them with a lasting positive happy experience is also something ANTA wants from this sponsorship.
The Color Run, created by Travis Snyder from Utah, is an event series and five kilometer paint race that is owned and operated by The Color Run LLC. In March 2011, it was first held in Phoenix, Arizona with 6,000 people taking part.
Currently, the Run takes place in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Australia, Africa and the United Arab Emirates. The untimed event has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at stations along the run.
