ESPN reporter Nick DePaula has reported that the Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward has agreed to a 4-year shoe and apparel offer from Chinese sportswear brand ANTA. Nike has ten business days to match the offer, Nick DePaula disclosed on September 26.
He said that the offer will include footwear and apparel, as well as launching a “ signature apparel collection and marketing” in Asia and the United States. The offer is said to be very generous.
Gordon Hayward has just returned from injury after missing the entire 2017/18 NBA season and has been seen wearing Anta footwear in team training.
Anta is currently one of the top ranking sportswear brands in China, if not the No. 1. They have signed many NBA players and legends, including Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors who signed a ten-year deal with Anta in 2017, Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett. Thompson has since attended two summer promotional tours in China with Anta.
