Guangzhou Marathon, as the first Marathon event in China on the Platform, will partner with Wisdom Holdings.
Guangzhou Marathon had taken three years to build up their brand, then won the title of gold medal event in 2014, got recognized by market. The contract with former partner expired in 2014, therefore Guangzhou Marathon started to be put on the Equity Exchange.
It was not the first open tendering for Guangzhou Marathon. In 2012, Wisdom got a three-year deal of Guangzhou Marathon. They cultivated the market in the past three years. After the first two years of exploring, Wisdom made Guangzhou Marathon a big brand in that market. The event became more and more popular, although in the first two years, Guangzhou Marathon failed to attract enough runners because of the city and organizing. In 2014, over 20 thousand athletes participated in that event.
