WMMAA appointed Chinese man to help promote MMA in China

World MMA Association (WMMAA) recently announced that Chinese former judo champion Han Jiuli was selected as vice chairman of WMMA. He will help launch Chinese MMA Federation and help promote the sport in China.

WMMAA was based in the Principality of Monaco and founded in 2012, having 46 member countries in the world. It aims to be the official world governing body of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. 

Mr Han was a former judo athlete and has been involved in capital management and financial investments and operations. He is also an industrial consultant of the General Administration of Sports of China. 

He is said to have helped international MMA events like One FC enter China. 

There are some fighting events in China, including the domestic brand Kunlun Fight which just had a video ad played in New York’s Time Square in recent few days, and international events such as One FC. One FC just entered China and planned to do around 10 games, starting from Xi’an in May.
